Figurative & Literal: Pushing Boundaries


The Renaissance was known for pushing boundaries - both in the literal and figurative sense.  Along with the obvious theme of the literal new world in the setting of The Tempest, how is a figurative Brave New World represented in the play?


In this clip with Ferdinand, how is Miranda living in a Brave New World?

Well, she is proclaiming her love for him, and she ends up proposing to him.
